Objective
Someone offers two options that are both slightly terrible. Everyone picks one and then says why. There is no winner, and the answers tell you more about people than any icebreaker question would.

How to Play
- One player reads out two options: "Would you rather... or...?"
- Everyone picks a side. Raise a hand, point, or walk to one end of the room.
- Go round and let a few people explain their choice. This is where the game actually happens.
- The next player asks. Keep going for as long as it stays fun.

Pro Tips
- The best questions are close calls. If everyone picks the same side, the question was too easy.
- Split the room physically for big groups: left wall or right wall. Ten people can play this, and so can sixty.
- Mix silly with real. "Always ten minutes early or always five minutes late" starts more argument than anything about superpowers.

Variations
- Couple's edition: ask the couple first, then see whether the room can guess their answers.
- Team version: two teams write questions for each other. A point for every question that splits the other team down the middle.
- Speed round: five seconds to answer, no explanations. Ideal for the ten minutes before dinner is served.
Questions people ask
- How many questions do we need?
- Ten good ones will carry half an hour. Write them on cards beforehand and hand the stack to whoever is hosting.
- Does it work with a big group?
- Better than most games. Have people move to one side of the room instead of answering out loud: you get an instant result and nobody waits their turn.
- What ages does it suit?
- Everyone from about six upward, as long as the questions match the room. It is one of the few games that works with kids and grandparents in the same circle.
